Dunedoo Sports Club
Formerly the Golf Club, the Sports Club caters for just about everyone of all ages. From our friendly locals, to the weary traveller, we are open seven days a week. Our bar has a wide variety of beer, wine, spirits, soft drinks, snacks, all for dining in or takeaway at good prices. Our Chinese Restaurant ‘The New Orchid’, is open six nights a week from 5pm onwards. We conduct Raffles every Friday night where there are many opportunities to win. We have a spacious club for functions, events, an outdoor undercover area, with a BBQ and a children’s playground.
At our club and surrounds, we have a 9-hole golf course (sand greens). Veterans day is Wednesday. Men’s golf is Sunday. The course is open for visitors seven days a week.
Alongside golf, we have a T20 Cricket competition every summer, Touch Football takes place on Wednesday’s every summer. Squash and Tennis are on two nights a week all year round. Again, all visitors are welcome.
We are all for helping out in the community. Most notably, we have an alliance with the Dunedoo Lions Club, which meet at the club on the 2nd Wednesday of every month.
Our annual highlight is the ‘Tunes On The Turf’ music festival. This takes place on the second Saturday of November. It is a family festival which brings in artists from around the country, some have progressed onto the world stage. This is conducted from 2pm to 12am and the stage and surrounds is on the lawn outside the club, hence the name. What started as a festival to promote our own artists and surrounds has grown. We are averaging close to 1,000 people over the past couple of years. We had a successful return in 2022. Make sure you get your ticket for 2023.
